Where Healing Begins and Relationships Thrive
When we can no longer change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves
-Victor Frankel.
About Me
I am deeply passionate about working with both individuals and couples to help them break free from patterns keeping them stuck. Using a systems lens and psychodynamic approach, I focus on fostering relational self-awareness and helping clients create meaningful, long-lasting change. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique journey toward growth and healing.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychological science from the University of New England and a Master’s in Psychotherapy from the Australian College of Applied Psychology. Additionally, I have completed Levels 1 and 2 Gottman Method training, equipping me with evidence-based tools to support individuals and couples in building stronger, healthier relationships.

The Psychotherapeutic Approach
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process where you meet with a trained therapist to talk through life’s challenges, emotional struggles, or patterns you’d like to change. It’s a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain new perspectives, and develop practical tools for coping and growth. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or simply want to understand yourself better, psychotherapy can help. I will listen with empathy and without judgment, helping you identify unhelpful patterns and supporting you as you work toward your goals. Psychotherapy isn’t about giving advice or quick fixes, it’s about empowering you to make meaningful, lasting changes in your life. Sessions are tailored to your unique needs and can be for individuals, couples, or families. Many people find that psychotherapy not only helps them manage specific issues, but also leads to greater self-awareness, resilience, and overall well-being.

FAQ
-
Counselling usually focuses on helping you manage specific issues or life events in the short term, offering guidance and practical strategies. Psychotherapy often goes deeper, exploring long-standing patterns, emotions, and behaviours to support lasting personal growth and change. Both approaches can be helpful, and the right fit depends on your needs.

The number of sessions varies for each person. Some people benefit from just a few sessions, while others may choose ongoing support. We’ll discuss your goals together and review your progress regularly

No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment. You can contact me directly and begin therapy at any time. Referrals are only required if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate, which is not available for sessions with counsellors or psychotherapists
-
Counselling and psychotherapy sessions are not yet covered by Medicare rebates. However, the overall cost is often similar to what you would pay out of pocket for a psychologist after the rebate. This means you can access support directly, without needing a referral or paperwork, and with more flexibility around the number and frequency of sessions. If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim a rebate depending on your policy.
